Retirement plan
I don’t suppose too many of us have given much thought to what happens to lamp posts once they have finished their working life but perhaps the farthest from our minds would be retirement to the seaside. During a recent visit to Cornwall I came across this lamp post graveyard just yards from a picturesque beach. In fact, the lamp posts were preventing the path from subsiding which I guess is quite a creative recycling application although I think this might be abusing the form follows function privilege just a little.
